Do battle for the Sanctum Sanctorum as Marvel Snap releases limited-time mode

Marvel Snap already gives you enough to think about as you go through a round, what with its three locations to contend with and plentiful effects flying around. Second Dinner Studio has decided this wasn’t enough, so it has introduced a limited-time mode to make things a bit more strange; Sanctum Showdown.

This mode is a race to 16 points, the first person there wins. Simple as that. That is also a Sanctum location floating around that's worth more points, and from turn 3 onwards you can snap once per turn to increase its value by one. Do you bulldoze to this one location, or try to conquer the other two instead?  A lot of the basic rules still apply; starting with three cards and one Energy. Each location is worth one point, with the Sanctum starting at four and raising with your snaps each turn, should you choose. If you win or lose, you still get to keep your points though to spend on charms, cosmetics, random Series four or five cards and more.

In order to start a game you will need to spend one scroll. If you win, you get another scroll to keep chugging along with. You will start with 12 and get two more every eight hours, so there's plenty of time to get involved before the event ends on March 13th. You could also head over to Twitch and watch some Marvel Snap gameplay to earn Drops for even more Scrolls, and up to 1,000 Charms.

By playing Sanctum Showdown you will be earning Portal Pulls, which you can use to obtain three new cards for nearly free. These include Laufey, Gorgon, and Uncle Ben. And we must touch on Uncle Ben's effect because it is hilarious. When he is destroyed, you can replace it with Spider-Man. Morbid, but a very amusing nod to the Spider-Man's origins.
