Marvel Snap is celebrating the First Family of Marvel ahead of The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Marvel Snap is celebrating the upcoming release of Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the only way it knows how: an avalanche of cards. We also have the return of the High Voltage game mode, and the introduction of a brand-new one.

The season is coming out of the gates strong with the Mister Fantastic card, a 2/2 which, at the end of each turn, grants a card in your hand -1 Cost or +2 Power. This will help you pull out your powerhouses, such as The Thing. This 5/6 gains +2 Power at the end of each turn, and if your side is full at a location, you can destroy an enemy card with less Power.

Human Torch will gain +1 Power at the end of the turn, or will double in power if your side is full. These are all tied up nicely thanks to the Invisible Woman, who, when activated, causes end-of-turn abilities to happen twice. Add to this the Fantasticar, which, when activated, gives end-of-turn cards +2 power, and the Fantastic Four are looking mighty powerful.

Looking at the Location cards, you can head to Reed’s Lab to gain +1 Energy per turn if your side is full. Or, check out the Rocket Pad, which gives cards on the winning side +1 Power after turn four. To complete your Fantastic 4 set, you can enjoy the First Steps album, offering the Human Torch Fired Up Emote.

Finally, some shiny modes! High Voltage returns from July 17th to 21st for some fast-paced duels. Or you can try out the Grand Arena, where you select a Champion from a roster of eight. These pack their own tailored decks and powerful skill cards, and even better, you don’t need the cards to play. Anyone can jump right in, as soon as the gates open from July 24th to August 7th.
