Gundam Blitz Order opens registration for a network test for the upcoming robo-idle game
I don’t think I am ready to trust Bandai again after what they did to my boy Gabumon
It would appear that video game developers are delving into my childhood and making idle games from my favourite TV shows. First, Bandai completely whiffed with Digimon Up, perhaps the single biggest miss of a beloved franchise in recent memory. Now, lord help us, Bandai is trying again, with the announcement of Gundam Blitz Order.
You shall be tasked with building a team from a roster of iconic Gundam, such as the Strike Freedom, the Deathscythe, the Strike Freedom, the Unicorn, and the Strike Freedom. Each unit comes packed with its own abilities, traits, and EX skills to mix and match until you have an unstoppable team.
After that, you send your squad out and watch as they auto-battle their way to victory, eyes sparkling as the Strike Freedom obliterates everything solo. At least, that's what it does in G Eternal, the current Gundam mobile game of note. Back to Blitz Order, battles equal materials, which you shove down your suit's face-hole to power them up.

Once you have fully maxed your Strike Freedom, no, I won’t drop it; you can send them on more dangerous missions, such as warship escorts, massive boss battles, and even PvP. That does disappoint me a little, truth be told. G Eternals PvP is also automated, and I would like a manual robo-brawl in my Gundam games.
I said this earlier as a joke, but in all seriousness, it is a little difficult to fully get excited about this with the mess that was Digimon Up. It was such a joyless, lazy, cash-hungry rip-off of an old Bandai favourite. And now they are trying again? If someone kicked me in the face after months of teasing a gift, I would be wary of getting too close, especially so soon after.
For those willing to risk getting spit in the eyes from another possible Bandai idle mess, you can apply to enter a network test now. Applications are open until the 26th of October this month, with the test kicking off on November 18th. There are only 500 spots per country, so good luck if you try. Tell the Strike Freedom I said hello.
