Human Fall Flat heads to Valhalla with a free Viking level

Is there a better phrase in gaming than “free DLC?" Yes, “free viking-themed DLC," and wouldn’t you know it, Human Fall Flay has only gone and released one of these. In a way. The free Viking level is available on Steam, but it will be coming to mobile in the future. Plus, I get to speak about Viking stuff. 

If you don’t know Human Fall Flat: don’t lie, of course you do. Everyone does. The wacky physics-based platformer is approaching its 10th birthday. During this decade, it has racked up over 58 million units sold, which is staggering to think about. Final Fantasy 7, a gaming staple, only sold a paltry 15 million in comparison.

Thanks to this free level, players will be able to live their lifelong dream, or at least mine, to be a Viking. Albeit one with a tragic inner-ear problem that makes them fall over a lot. You can, of course, commandeer a Viking longship and take it out to see, but all the real action is on land. 

You will be able to give a peaceful little village a proper Viking greeting by raiding it, armed with swords and shields. Or, two swords if you are feeling really chaotic. Players can take the controls of a battering ram to smash through walls, or use a catapult to no doubt fire themselves straight into said walls.

Top this off with a barrel ride down the fjords, and it is quite the adventure.

An adventure, that is, with a peculiar companion. This level brings a special guest star with it in the form of Dave the Diver. A little unexpected, but wholly welcome. You can rampage through these new environments decked out in two special collaboration skins. Because nothing says “fear me” more than some flippers and a snorkel.

Human Fall Flat is available to purchase from the App Store and Google Play for $4.99, with the Viking level coming to mobile at a later date.
