Hitman: Absolution launches on Android and iOS with Agent 47 becoming a babysitter

Maybe stick to Hitman: World of Assassin...

iOS + Android + Steam ...
| Hitman: Absolution

I am curious about the marketing decision behind the order that Hitman is coming to mobile devices. World of Assassin is already out, and now they have released Hitman: Absolution, which is a step backwards in quality and chronology. Seems odd to me.

Anyway, yes, Hitman: Absolution is out now for Android and iOS devices. You can follow Agent 47 as he bumps off his long-time associate, Diana Burnwood, and picks up a wayward young charge by the name of Victoria. It is Agent 47's adventures in babysitting. Although Victoria is no ordinary child.

She is genetically engineered, much like Agent 47 himself, and the ICA is keen to get its hands on her. Diana was protecting Victoria from their clutches, and in a bid to honor her dying wish, Agent 47 takes over this role. Instead of working with her. Well, at least he still has all his super stealth skills to tackle the erstwhile kidnappers from the shadows.

But what if your Agent 47 is a hectic, on-the-go hitman with too many targets and not enough time? Well, that is where Point Shooting comes into play. Time will slow to a crawl as 47’s highly honed reflexes take over, allowing you to mark multiple targets and then dispatch them all at once.

This is still a stealth game, mind, so you can’t spam this ability. It will drain your Instinct meter like nobody's business. Ah, yes, this was back when Hitman used a resource for your special Hitman abilities. This includes locating foes and objects through walls, and even blending in with your disguises.

Utterly ridiculous that one.

At least the mobile version of Hitman Absolution comes with fully customisable touch controls. You can also pick up a controller or use a mouse and keyboard. I can only assume that's for a computer android version, who is using a mouse and keyboard on a phone? It also has customisable auto-aim and dynamic on-screen prompts, two actually useful things.

Hitman: Absolution is available to purchase from the App Store and Google Play. It will set you back $14.99, which isn't a bad shout if the price tag for World of Assassination is putting you off.
