Snezhnaya is finally around the corner as Genshin Impact teases a behind the scene livestream
Six years later, and here we are.
After Natlan in version 5.x, everyone expected the next region to be Snezhnaya. Instead, we get a region on the southern part of Snezhnaya, Nod-Krai.
You don't really interact with the Cryo Archon, Tsaritsa, but instead you learn more about the moons of Teyvat, including the one that everyone expected to be a dead moon on a fake sky.
While the region itself reveals a ton of lore, when Nod-Krai was first announced, everyone called out the developer for milking the game. After all, Snezhnaya would be the final nation in Teyvat before the Archon and Gnosis arc should end.
Now that we're on version 6.5, HoYoverse has no choice but to finally release Snezhnaya for version 7.0, finally connecting all the pieces together and answering long-asked questions like, "Why is the Tsaritsa collecting Gnosis?"
Genshin Impact's upcoming livestream may finally showcase Snezhnaya
The upcoming livestream, To Snezhnaya and the Future, will air on April 24, 2026, at 08:00 AM ET (UTC-4). So that would be 12:00 PM GMT.Considering the title and the thumbnail image, it's highly likely that the special program will give us a first look at the snowy land.
Just remember that the livestream doesn't mean the next version will be Snezhnaya, since a version usually lasts until x.6 to x.8. Version 6.5 will end on May 19, 2026, and if Genshin 6.6 stays on schedule, it would end on June 30, 2026.
This means version 6.7 will be a filler summer island, coinciding with the western July-August summer break. It would be lovely to see Alice being released with the summer island, since she usually works behind the scenes.
Then, Snezhnaya could be after 6.7 or 6.8. If it's the latter, then there's one last Nod-Krai filler after the summer island.
