After all the excitement in Luna IV, it's easy to predict that Genshin Impact 6.4 will run as a filler version, but even with low expectations, Luna V still manages to disappoint.

Let's start with the most important thing: Primogem/pull count. There are three events in Luna V, giving a total of 1800 Primogem. There's no new area or abundance of gifts like the Lantern Rite, meaning we're down around 25 pulls from that alone.

The only saving grace is that there will be two refreshes of the Imaginarium Theater, on March 1 and April 1, and one refresh of the Spiral Abyss on March 16. The endgame content, assuming you can finish it with full stars, will be the primary source of Primogem in version 6.4.

Other than that, the Stardust Exchange will also refresh on March 1 and April 1, giving you 10 Fates of each kind instead of 5.

In total, assuming you did everything, including daily commissions, you can expect around 8400 Primogems, along with 10 Intertwined Fates and 15 Acquaint Fates. This count is not bad, but considering most of these are from permanent content and not the version itself, you can imagine how empty Luna V is.

Genshin Impact Luna V banners don't help either

Now, let's get to the version itself. Genshin Luna V will release the long-awaited character, Varka, the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius. Highly hyped character, but you know what that means? HoYo won't make enough effort to make him good. They will rely on the fans to make the sale.

Varka is irrelevant for the current Lunar meta and is meant to work with his Mondstadt folks. While this is not bad, it makes him a rather underwhelming choice as a DPS, since the Mondstadt era ended a long time ago.

Alongside his debut is the rerun of Flins, who's currently a relevant DPS in the meta. Afterwards, in Phase 2, there will be a rerun of Skirk and Escoffier, also currently relevant to the meta. It's like HoYo doesn't want to sell Varka.

To emphasize Varka's return to Mondstadt, our old friends will also be featured in the Chronicled Wish: Eula, Mona, Albedo, Klee, Diluc, and Jean. Other than Mona and Albedo, the rest of the characters aren't really worth your time. The featured weapon also mostly consists of Standard Banner weapons, excluding Eula's weapon and Elegy for the End.

Which, unless you're dying to get copies of your Standard weapons, is just another useless banner.

Genshin Impact 6.4 is scheduled to release on February 24 (February 25 for those outside the US time zone), but if you can't wait for it to end, expect the version to conclude around April 7 (April 8 for those outside the US time zone).
