Duet Night Abyss seeks to revolutionize gachas as it releases today

Since Genshin Impact proved how lucrative the Action RPG gacha could be, we had imitators coming out of the woodwork. Or people shoving gacha into anything, it got old. So, I love that we are getting gachaless gachas, like Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. Today, we add another name to this list of saviours: Duet Night Abyss.

Now, gachaless might be overpromising. There are banners, but they are just for fashion. Completely optional. Instead, Duet Night Abyss has launched with 19 playable characters that you can unlock for free, simply by completing in-game stages. Imagine a game shipping with all its characters available. Crazy. 

As the name suggests, this is a duet. You are able to switch between two heroes thanks to the dual-protagonist system. Both stories will serve to deepen the world's lore, and you can learn it in comfort and style with the appearance customisation system. During combat, you can combine melee and ranged weapon types to create your own way to enjoy fights.

You will be able to zip around town in all manner of ways, including Helix Leaps, Grappling Hooks, and Wall Jumps. Now, I know what you are thinking: this sounds like you are going to drain your obligatory stamina meter like crazy. Happily, there isn’t a stamina system here, so you can pull off your acrobatic 

Speaking of stamina, there's none of the other type either. You remember how you can only play a game for as long as you have the stamina to do dungeons? That’s gone here, too, so you can grind till your heart's content. Basically, Pan Studio is taking the good part of gachas and stripping out the annoying ones. I am very excited to see how this goes.
