Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.5 closes the book on the Waifei Peninsula calamity

The tale of Waifei Peninsula is almost complete in Zenless Zone Zero, as the Qingming Sword began resonating with the power of the Creator in Version 2.5, kicking off December 30th. If this ticking time bomb wasn’t enough, flowers only found within the Hollows are showing up across Failume Heights, causing Proxies to venture into the Lumite Mine ruins to investigate. 

You will team up with Ye Shunguang to prevent catastrophe, and in the Sword Seeker Chronicles epilogue, seek a cure for the Qingming Sword’s backlash. Complete the tale, and you will acquire a brand-new W-Engine. Or, team up with your friends for some multiplayer fun in the Joint Investigation: The Divine Maze.

Our new Agent in this update is an interesting one, as Ye Shunguang is the first dual-form Void Hunter. With her Honed Edge, she can enter the Enlightened Mind state to activate her Ether Veil. A lot of terms that mean one thing: a shedload of damage that also applies vulnerability to enemies. You also get a friend named Bangboo Sprout who throws swords at people; amazing.

Of course, you have to gamble for them.

If you are looking for a dead cert, then how about the free S-Renk, Zhao? During combat, she will accumulate Frostbite to trigger Ether Veil: Wellspring to buff the whole squad. Whether that sounds good or not, you are getting her for nothing if you log in anyway, so give her a try.

If you require a Christmas break from combat, then head to the Proxy Outpost. Here you build or join outposts, meet new friends, or partake in commissions. Version 2.5 also buffs Soldier 11, Grace, Soldier 0 - Anby, Ellen, and Burnice. You can also now sweep Combat simulations with Ether Batteries instead of materials and Drive Discs.
