Dave the Diver prepares to enter untethered waters as it comes to mobile next year

For years, we all shared the same favourite diver, and that was Dio’s “Holy Diver”. However, back in 2023, a new one burst onto the scene and into the hearts of millions. That was, of course, Dave the Diver. For the longest time, he has been constrained to console, but soon that will all change, as he prepares to dive into mobile waters.

Now, before anyone says, “It's been on Switch, it's already on a handheld”, yes, that is technically true. However, lugging a Switch around for a short train or bus journey, then carrying it around wherever you are, is a pain. Mobile is the true handheld, so easy.

Anyway, away from the self-arguments, let’s look at our aquatically inclined David. He is approached at the beginning of the game by his friend Cobra with an offer to start a fish restaurant, along with chef Bancho. After this, Cobra all but delegates everything to these two.

During the day, you will dive into the deep blue sea on the hunt for fish to serve at your new establishment. You have limited space and oxygen on your forays to begin with, which can be increased as you invest your gold. And how do you earn gold? By working in the restaurant!

Dave got the short end of the stick for sure in this venture.

Between catching the fish and then serving them, you will also stumble upon a mystery that requires unravelling. Our hero is a man of many talents, which you can enjoy on mobile starting from next year, thanks to Mintrocket and XD. However, Dave the Diver will first launch in China before coming to the rest of the world.

A bit of a pain, but it will be worth the wait to enjoy this legendary game whenever the urge hits.
