Warframe Devstream sets release date for The Old Peace, kicks off Android beta test
Today!
Just how, oh how, are we going to fit all the latest Warframe reveals from today's Digital Extremes’ Devstream into one article? A peek at an upcoming Warframe, a new game mode, a weapon class, Ultimates, and more. There is a lot to cover, so let’s get started.
We shall lead with the big one. The Old Peace release date. Coming December 10th, we will be travelling back to Tau for an epic story. Not to mention, the Perita Rebellion mode. These 12-minute wars will pit you against one or three bosses, where completing challenges will net you upgrades. You will also face off against the Anarchs, a faction comprised of Dax, Grineer, and commandeered Prime Warframes. A fearsome foe.
To help you win this war singlehandedly, there are five Focus Schools to pick from, each with its own Ultimates. These Tauron Strikes are massive attacks that will look flashy and annihilate the general area. This update also expands the current Focus School skill trees. But what if you want to bring an army to this war? Well, let’s look at Uriel.
We got a better look at the 63rd Warframe, and I am incredibly excited to try him out. The Heretic of Xata summons three fiends to fight alongside you, and rains hell upon the battlefield with a series of brimstone-related moves. One basically turns you into a comet if you want to do a Starscourge Radahn on your enemies.

Along with Uriel comes the Bayonet weapon class. This new piece of gear takes both your primary alots and your melee slot to wield, allowing you to flip between the two modes. You do get separate mod setups for ranged and melee, so don’t worry about that. Unfortunately, it seems to be primarily a thrust-style weapon, so you need to be precise.
After you clear The Old Peace, you can take on Operation: Blood of Perita. Lasting from December 16th to January 6th, you will collect Marks of Valiance from the Rebellion and other Alert missions. Then, head to Roathe and trade for rewards such as the evolving Loiaus Chest Armor cosmetic and an Honoria.
If you are planning your holiday for next year, then maybe consider TennoCon. Taking place July 10th and 11th, you will be able to enjoy panels, merch, and the return of TennoConcert, celebrating a decade of amazing songs. Tickets will be on sale February 27th, and there will be two Legendary Tickets available, offering a chance to immortalize yourself with an in-game Voice recording session.
Now for some very exciting news: Warframes closed beta kicks off on Android today, so make sure you have opted in to be in with a shout to join. Or, if you are an Apple user, simply download it from the App Store all smug like.
