The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin gets delayed until March
I will always support a developer taking all the time they need, although Rockstar is pushing it a bit
Netmarble has announced the sad news that they are delaying The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin until March, but it is a decision we should all really support. I have said it before, but I would much rather wait an extra two, three, or four months and receive a proper game than undercooked nonsense.
However, it does not sound like that is what we would have received if it did come out this month. According to a survey of the game’s closed beta test in November last year, a staggering 95% of players stated that they would continue playing after launch.
That means that Netmarble saw this data and went, “Only 95%? Absolutely not!” And I absolutely love that response myself. I think it is a sign that we are going to get a fantastic game if the developers are that dedicated to perfection, instead of just saying cool that will do.

The team has opted to undergo these extra development months to correct a few gameplay refinements that were requested in player feedback. This includes a polishing of the combat system, particularly in terms of enhancing character controls and responsiveness, which I think we can all agree is pretty important.
When it does release, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will shift the limelight away from Meliodas and his team, instead focusing on Prince Tristan of Liones. You will explore and open-world Britannia, taking on foes in tag-based combat with combination skills, building your team from your favourite characters from the series.
There will also be multiplayer features for you to form parties with friends to enjoy the open roads together, or batter any foe that stands in your way. Hopefully, this extra development time will result in a game worthy of the legendary series from whence it came.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin can be pre-ordered from the App Store and Google Play.
