With all the unsettling news of cuts and cancellations coming from Ubisoft recently, it is good to see some good news for once. Not only did The Division Resurgence avoid the Ubipurge, but it will be available to download this month, on March 31st.

The date was revealed during the official 10th anniversary celebration for The Division, and if you don’t know what that is, I pity you. The Division is a very fun multiplayer looter shooter that you can play fully solo should you wish. The story is set in a world ravaged by the Green Poison outbreak, a highly contagious virus that was spread on dollar bills during Black Friday.

What is The Division Resurgence for mobile?

The Division Resurgence is a full-on mobile experience that will bring the fantastic gameplay to our hands. It is set around the same time as the original game, with a fully canon storyline in Manhattan. You will take on the role of a new SHD, sent to the area to restore order, and dispatch an army of frustratingly bullet-spongey enemies. I never said it was perfect.

You will be able to indulge in all The Division goodness you have come to expect. Weapons will be found under every rock, and you will be able to select a specialisation to fit your playstyle. These can also be swapped at the drop of a hat should you yearn for drones over a shield. Master your style, then take your skills to The Dark Zone for some high-octane PvPvE. It is a rough world out there.

You can pre-order The Division Resurgence on the App Store and Google Play. Do so, and you will net yourself two interesting bonuses. The first is some Pure Gold Weapon Skins in case you want to make yourself an easy target in PvP. And the second is an NYC Firefighter Set, because what other emergency service would you expect to see tooled up, running around, and battling crime? Perhaps Sting would have an idea.
