Reverse: 1999 takes us to 1930s Paris in Version 3.2 later this month
I checked, Disneyland Paris didn’t open until 1992, the 30s was a bad choice
I don’t know much about history, but I can tell you this: Reverse: 1999 has chosen an interesting timeframe for its next update. Version 3.2 will launch January 20th and will take fans to Paris in the 1930s. So sometime between the Great Depression and World War 2. What a jovial time.
Let’s assume that Bluepoch Games will be keeping things light instead, and they are starting with a new rogue-like mode. The Window to Other Worlds: The Syndrome of Silence, mouthy title, will follow the adventures of Coppélia, who is exploring Paris for the first time. You will need to master the Castalysts and Attributes systems to succeed and claim those sweet rewards: The Fadin Resonance and a bucket of growth materials.
To help you on this new journey, Reverse: 1999 is showering us with characters, starting in Phase with the 6-Star fortune teller, Beryl. She introduces the Lingering Glow system, which collects charges from enemy debuffs. It can be used to buff foes or further interfere with enemies, making her a well-rounded option.

Phase 2 will bring us the 6-star taxi driver Brume, a rather fitting name with little combat details right now. On top of these two heroes, players who log in will receive 120 Free Pulls and a guaranteed unowned 6-star from the standard pool. You can also grab 30 extra pulls, as well as 1,000 Clear Drops, if you log in on February 1st. For a slightly less powerful treat, the version event comes with a 5-Star Character Selector. Finally, use codes GreatMamanBeryl, FakeBusterBrume, and StrangeParisThings to get 240 Clear Drops.
The developers have also teased an upcoming collaboration with Atomic Heart, 2023's rather forgetful FPS. There isn’t much more released about it right now, but it is certainly an odd pick. Either way, Version 3.2 looks to be a great time to try Reverse: 1999 if you haven’t already, so download it from the App Store and Google Play.
