Time sure does fly; Reverse: 1999 is somehow already hitting its 2.5-year anniversary. It seems like only yesterday the time travel shenanigans had kicked off. Bluepoch Games are keen to celebrate this milestone, with the Version 3.4 update, Spring Unending, launching on April 16th.

Stepping up to the plate in this update is the new 6-star character, Paper Heron. She is a wandering Daoist swordsman, so it sounds like she knows her way around a battlefield. She is packing two attacks that damage multiple enemies, as well as a skill that buffs all allies, making the “Her Heart-Cut Spring” banner sound mighty tempting.

Phase two will also introduce us to the 6-star Cheng Heguang. Whilst her might not be able to damage multiple foes at once, he has a skill that deals 1000% Reality DMG to an enemy, which sounds insane. It also causes him to deal follow-up damage on ally attacks up to three times per round, just for that added fun.

You might be thinking, “gee, it sure would be swell if I could afford all these pulls”. Well, Bluepoch has some of that covered. Logging in during the anniversary period will get you ten free summons a day, up to 100. There are also extra gifts, such as a Selectable Artifice system for high-tier equipment, and discount coupons for cosmetics.

Musae’s Arcade sounds like an excellent addition

It is not all gifts and characters, though. Version 3.4 also has gameplay, imagine that. Pre-Storm Protocol, the survival-eske mode, has been updated with a Message Board to leave tips, and a system that lets you unlock buffs by playing. Or, try out something brand new with Musae’s Arcade.

This is a multiplayer mode where players can create a room together and engage in mini-games. Playing these will earn you the Duel Card, which can be used during Duel Time to earn Marvelous Marbles. You can then throw these at the Costume Vending Machine to buy costumes.

Who said goofing off wasn't profitable?
