Torchlight: Infinite releases more information about the upcoming SS11 Vorax
I am looking forward SS11 turning this in Torchlight: Pokémon
XD Games may have just released Heartopia to worldwide acclaim, but that doesn’t mean the developer has taken its eyes off the rest of their portfolio. Far from it, in fact, as Torchlight: Infinite is barrelling towards its next season, and it is looking to be a big one full of upgrades and tweaks.
We are, of course, talking about SS11 Vorax, which will be gracing our devices from January 15th. To start, you will be able to hunt monsters infected with the eponymous Vorax Syndrome. Putting these down will net you Vorax Substance, which is used to access Surgical Preparation.
This allows you to manage six Incubation Tanks, with which you can tweak monster quantity, rarity, and activity, as well as take advantage of family-specific mechanics and Incubation Elixirs. You do all this for one reason: maximising Ultimate Activity that scales directly with loot rewards. You can then battle your monsters in a dedicated arena, which sounds amazing.
If all that sounds too complicated, look to the Netherrealm enhancers, Scalpers. These increase encounter difficulty without consuming Compass slots, increasing rewards through more elites and Scavengers.

These challenges can be made a little easier with the Grafting system. This lets you use Vorax Limbs as crafting bases with unrestricted affix rules. Core Organ extraction allows up to two Legendary mods per item without slot limits, whilst Vorax Corrosion gives you a chance at Tier 0/Tier 0 Plus affixes.
What might also help is a new hero. Enter Cateye Erika, who is receiving a new Hero Trait, named Vendetta’s Sting. The emphasis on this combat style is speed, with a skill set that prioritizes dashes close to foes and dealing massive damage. Or you can dash through them for a nice hit-and-run. This is a style that puts Erika at great risk, though, so you will need to keep nimble and alert.
Speaking of characters, there will be a few visual upgrades, including hero models such as Rehan, Carino, and Gemma. Some monsters will also get a makeover, as will icons and combat VFX. The UI will also be done up to make it more readable than ever. Some shiny carnage is on the way.
Torchlight: Infinite is available from the App Store and Google Play.
