When you think about gaming franchises that span across history, Assassin’s Creed has to be up there among the best. That is why when Bluepoch originally announced the crossover between the stealthy series and its own Reverse: 1999, it made perfect sense. Thanks to the recent global livestream, we now have a much clearer view of what to expect.

It was a mix of confirming what we knew and adding a bit more information to things. For starters, there will be three Assassins to collect. These are Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Kassandra, and Alexios. Again, the lack of Jacob, Evie, or anything Syndicate is baffling.

Anyway, you can recruit Alexios for free by completing in-game activities, whereas Ezio and Kassandra will need to be pulled for. Bluepoch has made it clear which Odyssey character they valued more, it seems. During battle, Ezio has multiple weapons to switch between, whilst Kassandra can toggle through skill trees to adapt to any role.

With the Brotherhood at your back, you will travel across two of the Assassin’s Creed settings. Phase 1 of the event will take you to Renaissance Florence and Assassin’s Creed II for one of the more beloved entries of the franchise. Then, we take a trip to Ancient Greece, helping the heroes of the Odyssey to investigate the Acropolis of Athens to combat the Cult of Kosmos.

Happily, there is a whole heap of free goodies to grab during this collaboration, beyond Alexios. To start, everyone can claim a monthly pass for nothing, which lets you collect 2,700 Clear Drops that translate to 15 pulls. Speaking of, you can also get at least 43 free pulls for each of the collaboration banners. Finishing off our haul, APPLe can sport a new garment, again, for free.

Reverse: 1999 is available to download from the App Store and Google Play, with the collaboration event landing on August 7th.
