Reigns: The Witcher brings the White Wolf to Develvers hit story game

The Witcher 3 was, to put it mildly, an absolute phenomenon. It sold more copies then their are people to play them, won all the awards known to man, and launched an equally acclaimed TV series.

But what if you want to enjoy the tales of Geralt of Rivia, but are scared of combat? Develver Digital has you covered with the release of Reigns: The Witcher.

Reigns: The Withcher brings choices, choices, choices

Reigns is a series that will usually put you in a position of power and have you make decisions. At some point, your choice will most likely lead to an early demise. Rinse and repeat. Reigns: The Witcher, however, has a novel twist to the tale. You are technically playing as Dandelion the bard. 

Dandelion is on stage, regaling a crowd with stories of Geralt of Rivia. This framing device creates a lore-friendly way to allow your decisions to spectacularly backfire, whilst leaving our favourite Witcher unharmed. These tales will often follow Geralt on one of his many Witcher quests, having you decide how he goes about handling tasks.

One decision might earn you renown among the nobles, but risk the ire of the common man. A wrong move during a tense moment might leave you surrounded by drowners, or even worse, put you on the bad side of Yennefer of Vengerberg.

Yes, it is not just Geralt and Dandelion making an appearance here. All our favourites will have their place in these stories, including Yennefer, Triss, Vesemir, and more. 

Even if Reigns is a story game by and large, whenever Geralt gets involved, there is sure to be a scrap or two. Between Dandelion's performances, you can partake in combat minigames, where you must help the White Wolf hold off all manner of foes. Including some that might be a little embellished. You just can’t trust a bard.
