I hope one of the decisions summons the Bovine Defense Force Initiative

Geralt of Riviera has had an interesting ride. The original book series performed well, Witcher 1 and 2 were decent, but then Witcher 3 came along, and suddenly, he is everywhere. A successful Netflix show, crossing into other games, and now, out of nowhere, he is joining the popular Nerial series with Reigns: The Witcher.

Reigns is one of those series you might not recognise, but you will know. It is Tinder, but with disastrous consequences. So, Tinder. You get presented with decisions to make, swipe right or left for your answer, and then somewhere along the line, you mess up and die. But maybe not here.

The framing device brings back that fan-favorite troubadour Dandelion, who is on stage and spinning yarns about the adventures of the White Wolf. It is a pretty clever way to keep these adventures canon, and lore-friendly, it must be said.

And a good way to allow for some over-the-top outcomes.

Much like in the game, Geralt will take on all manner of contracts, from slaying monsters to dispatching a beast or perhaps vanquishing a ghoul. Ok, so maybe not all manner. Wtichers do one thing, and they do it very well! Don’t fret, however, as there will still be scraps to be found with the local population should you desire it.

Take a moment to pause before each decision, though, as every choice will have massive impacts. Saving a village might endear you to the local lord, but at the same time, you could anger a coven of mages with designs on the land.

Do you stick to your guns even if it means death, or pick the options to ensure your survival?

Along the way, you will run into many recognisable faces, including Vesemir, and of course, Yen and Triss. I can only assume there will be a bath or two along the way. Reigns: The Witcher is releasing on the App Store and Google Play on February 25th.
