Aglaea and Sunday returns in Phase 3 of Honkai: Star Rail 3.8

Honkai: Star Rail 3.8 is finally in phase 3, marking one of the longest versions in HSR so far. Instead of the usual six-week version, patch 3.8 is running for eight weeks, where phase 1 and 2 last for three weeks each, while the final part lasts for two weeks.

This means that Aglaea and Sunday's rerun in phase 3 is shorter than the typical banner, giving you less time to collect Stellar Jades to get them.

Aglaea and Sunday reruns will begin on January 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM server time, and end on February 12, 2026.

Aglaea and Sunday are still top-tier characters in Honkai: Star Rail

Aglaea is a Remembrance character with the Lightning attribute. In combat, she relies on her Enhanced Basic Attack and Garmentmaker Memosprite to deal damage.

This Enhanced Basic Attack activates when you use Aglaea's Ultimate, and she also gains SPD buff in her Ult state. You have to maintain Aglaea in her Ultimate state at all times. Otherwise, she will lose her SPD buff stacks and have to rebuild them all over again, making you lose a huge chunk of her DPS.

With Aglaea's massive SPD, action-advance on her Ultimate, and the correct support, maintaining Aglaea's Ult is a walk in the park, but that also means that she's dependent on certain units to shine.

One of the best characters to pair with Aglaea is Sunday. Sunday can help fill a character's Ultimate and action-advance a unit and their summon. This checks all the things that Aglaea needs.

Sunday's buffs are so good that he's currently one of the best supports in the game. He works great with other top-tier units, like Phainon, Anaxa, and Saber.

However, there's no telling if Sunday (or Aglaea) will stay on top of the tier list, since Elation characters are coming soon. If HSR follows its previous pattern, the new playstyle will eventually drag old characters down the tier list, giving room for new shiny units to reign on top.

At the very least, though, Honkai: Star Rail is actively buffing the older characters, making them more viable from time to time. Soon, Sparkle and Black Swan will get a buff, hopefully making both powerful again.
