Red Dead Redemption can be pre-ordered now ahead of next month's release
This article aint big enough for the both of us
When the announcement that Red Dead Redemption was coming to mobile occurred, I am sure it got people's trigger fingers itching all over the world. But I don’t think we were expecting it to happen at this quick a pace. To wit, Pre-registration has already opened on storefronts.
I think part of this excitement might be down to the sheer lack of cowboy games in general, which is odd. You would think this would be a huge market, but I am struggling to name many besides Call of Juarez and Red Dead. Any chance to sling guns in the Old West would be welcome.
Back on topic, Red Dead Redemption was released by Rockstar back in 2010, and quickly became a phenomenon. One that I prefer to Grand Theft Auto, to be honest. I’d take any random cowboy over Trevor Phillips any day.
But you aren’t a random cowboy here. You are the iconic John Marston.

It is a tale of betrayal and redemption that most people won’t ever see, because you have a lasso and can strand people on train lines. Surely everyone just gets a horse and then strikes out into the open world, revolver cocked and whisky open. Has anyone ever completed a Rockstar story? Yes, me with San Andreas, but the question irrelevantly stands.
For those who really want to ignore any semblance of story, you can enjoy the included Undead Nightmare expansion. As you expect, this brings zombies into Marston's little world, threatening his family. You will need to hunt down the cure or go on a rampage. There is the Blunderbuss that fires zombie parts instead of ammo. Who needs any other gun?
You can pre-register Red Dead Redemption now on the App Store and Google Play, ahead of the December 4th release date. Don’t forget, you will need a Netflix subscription to play.
