Play Together enters the spooky season with a morbid take on Cinderella

I am sure that you know the Charles Perrault take on Cinderella. Slightly darker than the Disney story, I am sure you will agree. Well, Play Together is taking that a little further by asking, “What would happen if Cinderella straight up died during the story?”

Casual, family-friendly game here, folks.

Kaia Island is under attack at night by monsters, and it seems to be linked to some bizarre fruits that sprout every year at the Frampkins Farm. Years ago, a young lady named Xindy lost her life in a pumpkin carriage accident, and as recompense, she cast a curse upon the farm. I am imagining she was inside the carriage at midnight.

As the big fool you are, you can head to the farm to earn event coins called Haunted Castle Invitations, to use in the Haunted Castle Banquet minigame. Here, for reasons, Ghost Princess Cindy has put on a spread, and you can find treasure amongst the dishes. These include the Cursed Ghost Castle (House) and the Ghost Princess costume.

Should you wish to create your own cursed farm, you can grow these crops on your Farm. They glow shades of purple and blue, for your very own veggie rave. To give you a hand in your green-thumbed pursuit, there is a login event lasting for two weeks. Showing up will net you Possessed Seed Packs, as well as Theme Draw Tickets, Possessed Sprays, and Possessed Sprinklers. I am desperate to see what the Possessed Sprinklers do. 

For something a little scary, the Night of the Cursed Souls event will run from October 30th to November 2nd. You will need to disguise yourself for maximum stealth, as you sneak around taking photos of evil spirits at night. Light paranormal paparazzi. Players will vote on each other's supernatural snaps, with the winners gaining the Ghost Princess Minime costume set.
