Play Together is ringing in the New Year with a rather fancy soiree on a luxury cruise ship

I am going to sound like the grumpiest person right now, but the holidays are exhausting. There is just way too much socialising that needs to be done. Happily, there is always that copious amount of holiday events in gaming to help soothe things.

Like the 2026 New Year's Party Update in Play Together. 

If you head over to Kaia Beach, you might just be able to make out a massive cruise ship that has docked. This is the Frost Horizon, and it is hosting the 2025 New Year’s shipboard party. As you board, you will meet the two NPCs in charge, Ty Coon and Bella Luxe, who, it has to be said, are some of the best-dressed NPCs you are ever likely to meet. 

Rather unsurprisingly, things take a nasty turn, as they often do. Maybe our player character is just bad lucky. Either way, the sea has frozen over, and this decadent party is at risk. You will need to assist your two new friends in resolving all the issues that pop up, rescuing the Frozen Cruise Party.

Doing this will net you Cruise Coins, as well as rewards like the Night Sea Floor, exterior house furniture, and cruise furniture. You can take these coins and use them in the Room Keycard Match minigame. Doing this could net you further rewards, including the 2026 Floating Balloon (vehicle) and the New Year’s Party costume. The biggest prize, however, is the Luxury Cruise House, a rather enticing prospect.

The festivities will culminate on New Year's Eve, with a countdown event taking place at Kaia Island Plaza on December 31st. At midnight, there will be a fireworks event to ring in the New Year with friends from around the world.

This will repeat at midnight for four days until January 4th. Logging in during this time will also grant you the New Year’s Party Attendance Gift, featuring a Snowflake Vait, and a Champagne Toy. Rewards will differ each day, so try and collect them all.
