Torchlight: Infinite announces season 2 launch for September

After launching in May this year, Torchlight: Infinite has clocked up an impressive amount of downloads, with over one million on Android alone, XD Entertainments ARPG has garnered praise, no doubt in large part for its massive customisation options. Now, there is a new update coming next month.

Torchlight: Infinite continues the storied series, with a combat focus on rapid combat and unparalleled customizability. Skills have no cooldown and there is no resource management, so you can build your very own playstyle, unleashing your own brand of rapid, unique hell. Now, with the upcoming release of The City of Aeterna, there is bound to be a lot more to come. There are countless stories of a once great and eternal city on Lepis, that was a beacon of prosperity and peace, until one day the city suddenly disappeared, enveloped by an eerie fog. A labyrinth of ruins and trees took the city's place, warning all with any sense to stay away, so of course, countless Treasure Hunters have braved the woods, looking for loot. Will you finally be the one to crack the maze, or are you destined to become another lost soul?

XD isn't giving much away with this new trailer, but if we can tell one thing for sure; it is going to be incredibly suspenseful. Down to the lighting change, the graveyard-like atmosphere, and not to mention the foreboding music, it all brings to mind something akin to necromancy, which is never a good thing.

The City of Aeterna is slated for release on September 8th, however, if you are anything like me, you are incurably impatient with things like this. Luckily, XD Games will be revealing a lot more of this new expansion in their preview livestream on August 26th at 12 PDT, on their YouTube and Twitch.
