Square Enix has launched Tomb Raider Reloaded as a soft launch title in Thailand and the Philippines, and plans to expand the launch to other territories later this year on iOS and Android, as confirmed by Square Enix and PocketGamer.biz.

Tomb Raider Reloaded was originally announced back in November last year as a new Tomb Raider title starring Lara Croft developed exclusively for mobile phones. It’s being developed by Canadian developer Emerald City Games, working with Square Enix to bring the iconic explorer back to mobile.

This version of Lara sports her familiar look, complete with her signature dual pistols and classic tomb hunting gadgets, bringing back familiar gameplay that fans of the series would recognise.

“Lara Croft blasts onto mobile in an arcade adventure like no other,” says the official game description on the app store page. “From underground tombs and caves to familiar waterfalls, traverse and backflip through epic environments in unique adventurous experiences.

“Use your smarts to carefully dodge hazards and traps in each room, solving puzzles to gain access to menacing bosses (is that a T-Rex I hear...?). Learn new skills, gain mystical powers, equip gear and level up to become the ultimate Tomb Raider!”

If you’re located in Thailand or the Philippines, you can download Tomb Raider Reloaded now from the iOS App Store or the Google Play for Android store where it is a free to play game. If you’re located outside of those regions, the game will be expanding its availability to other countries later this year so be sure to keep an eye out for any updates on that.
