Every Friday here at 148Apps we like to prepare you for next week. Not in a weird way though, we just like making sure you're as excited as we are about the new games that are going to be landing on the App Store in the next seven days.

Because we're kind, we've also included pre-order links where applicable, so if you like the sound of one of our suggestions, you can get it ready and raring to go before it's even been released. Which is pretty awesome.

If you've got your own suggestions then feel free to let us know about them in the comments section. Oh, and if you want to check out some of the awesome games that came out this week, and pick which of them should be our game of the week, you can do that by clicking right here.

Into the Dark: Narakan

- pre-order for iOS

What happens when you take chess, Zelda, and a roguelike, smash them all together with an intriguing art-style, give the whole thing a spooky and ethereal sounding name, and then release it on the App Store for $2.99 on November 6th? The answer to that oddly specific question is Into the Dark: Narakan.

Yo! Let's Stretch

- pre-order for iOS

A platformer that sees you stretching from A to B instead of leaping. Think of it a bit like a mix between Doodle Jump and Silly Sausage in Meat Land and you're getting pretty close. It's frantic in all the right ways, and it owes as much of a debt to the arcades of old as it does the App Store of now. If you ask us, that's no bad thing.

Cat Lady - The Card Game

- pre-order for iOS

This one is a card game from Nomad Games that's all about enticing fluffy kitties to come and stay with you forever and ever and ever. Besides the adorably cute meow machines, there's actually a really interesting and deep card playing experience waiting to be discovered.

Teslagrad

- pre-order for iOS

A puzzling platformer that we thought was going to come out last week, but actually had its release pushed back. That's cool though, we like to have our entertainment spread around a bit. This one's all about controlling the world around you with electricity and magnetism. Which are basically the same thing, but you get what I mean. We're really excited to see how the mobile version has turned out.

Alphaputt

- pre-order for iOS

This one mixes together two things that a lot of people find dull - golf and words - and turns them into something pretty impressive. Imagine crazy golf, but in typefaces. And on your phone. Okay it's quite hard to describe, but we love weird golf games and we love weird word games, so a weird golfing word game is always going to tickle our fancy.
