Tackle some terrifying bosses in a new game mode with Blue Archives latest update

Blue Archive has recently released its latest update, packed with quite an arsenal of content. Named Rowdy and Cheery, you will take part in an all-new game mode, recruit two new students, and follow the team's adventures in Hyakkiyako.

In this event, the students of Gehenna Academy went on a field trip to nearby Hyakkiyo, where they quickly ran into a welcoming committee of Allied Hyakkiyako Academy students. You will follow the story of the occurrences between the two across 10 episodes, picking up the obligatory Pyoxenes and Credit Points as you do so.

As usual, we will be welcoming two new students in this update. Our first recruit is Tsubaki (Guide), an Allied Hyakkiyako Academy Inner Discipline Club student who you will meet during the Event Story. She is a Piercing-type Special student who can increase the ATK of allies in a circular area for 45 seconds. Quite a substantial buff that could prove invaluable.

It's precisely this boost that can make Tsubaki (Guide) work particularly well with the second recruit; Umika. Hailing from the Allied Hyakkiyako Academy Festival Operations Department, this Mystic-type Striker can summon a Fireworks Launcher. Whilst this sounds perfect for festivals, it can also deal gigantic damage to a single enemy, perfect for tricky bosses, especially if buffed.

This particular busting skill will set you in good stead for the new game mode; Final Restriction Release. Here you will face off against savage bosses, luckily though you can bring 6 Strikers and 4 Special students to take them on. You will have an increased maximum amount of cost and skill cards.

If you manage to take down these behemoths you will be able to reap quite a few rewards, including Credit Points and Enhancement Stones. You will also find yourself pocketing Workbooks, which are used in the new Talent Unlock growth system. The first season of this will end on October 21st.
