As the season of summer is well and truly here, baking everyone and everything in site, you can now enjoy a return to Raven Brooks in Secret Neighbour, for the new Summer Camp update. Far from being a relaxing trip, this update brings some drastic changes to a few major systems to make this a summer to remember.

Secret Neighbour revolves around a group of kids, the Rescue Squad, breaking into the eponymous Neighbours house, in order to gather keys, unlock the basement and rescue your friends. The only problem, however, is that this middle-aged neighbour roughly twice the size of the children is an absolute master of disguise, and one of the kids is, in fact, him. After getting his properties broken into every night, Mr Peterson has ditched his evidently terrible old security and replaced them with dastardly new tricks. Every match will now play differently, with old faithful route randomly obstructed, and traps placed where you least expect it. The randomly placed hazards will definitely add some more replay value to the game.

Fun as this troublesome new mechanic is, the main course of this update is the brand-new progression system. Through playing matches, you will now accrue experience for whichever kid or Neighbour type you played with, with more points coming from longer rounds with a full squad. The more you level, the more you unlock, from cosmetics to summer camp patches, or more importantly Talents; game-altering perks that will alter how you play.

On top of this game-changing new system, three of the kids have had tweaks made to them. The Bagger, Brave and Leader have all had some updates to make them more teamwork-oriented, and all kids now have a dedicated inventory slot for the flashlight, giving you one more slot each match. Whilst one slot might not sound like a lot, you never know when one more gadget can mean the difference between success or failure.

Secret Neighbour is available to download now from the App Store.
