Raise your elves to save the world in Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago

14 Hours Productions has announced their upcoming Tamagotchi-inspired title, Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago. You will need to hatch and raise your new virtual pet and prepare them to defeat a great evil plaguing the world, and also remind them to take a shower every now and then.

As the Guardian Spirit of this world, you have been ordered by the Fairy Queen to raise an elf hero capable of defeating the Dark Lord and their army of minions attacking the land. You do this in a Tamagotchi-meets idle RPG cross, raising your new little friend and training them, but they require more care than you would think.

To start with, you will need to protect your elf before they hatch from its egg because, as we all know, elves are part-platypus. There are a variety of weather phenomena and many creatures who want to eat or generally make an omelette out of your elf, so you must protect them until they hatch, and then the real work begins.

You will be in charge of every aspect of your elves' life, from training to bathroom breaks, much like the Sims but with a bit more stabbing. You will have to train their strength, dexterity and intelligence for battles, keep them fed and entertained, and then send them out into the wild to battle a host of dangerous fantasy-laden enemies, like a good parent.

As your elf ventures forth through the land they will find new quests to complete, equipment to obtain, areas to explore, bosses to bonk, NPCs to help, and an assortment of consumables to stuff into their faces and find out what happens. Luckily, your new friend isn't completely helpless, so when you have set them a task you can put your phone down and take care of your own, with your hero giving you a nudge if they need further help.

Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago will be available to download from the App Store and Google Play, but until then you can keep an eye on the game's website for any future updates.
