I have mentioned it before, somewhere in the aether, but I love mythology. Primarily Norse, but I will take whatever you have. Recently KartRider Rush+ took on the Arthurian legends, a great piece of British mythology, and now they have moved on to the Greek gods, in the Olympos update.

I can’t fully work out the pun in that title, maybe something to do with NOS? Either way, it is Season 28, and it is time to get some godly karts. The Crash Thunderbolt and Flash Thunderbolt are available to collect, clearly inspired by Zeus, as well as the new highlight ones; Mantis Buggy and the White Cow. I need that last one so badly.

Once you have saddled that cow it is time to race around the Greek favourite track. You can fling open the doors of Zeus’ Domain now and test your mettle against the land of Olympos, getting a taste of godly glory. Two additional maps; the Gates of Destiny (Olympos), and Dimensional Gateway (Norse) will be added soon for extra racing.

For those who are sick of looking at their racer, there has been a whole new batch added. These include Bello, Priestess Marid, Angel Mobi, and Nature's Bounty Bazzi. Recruit them, bond with them, and then watch as they get ruthlessly dispatched in Season 28's new Survival Racing mode.

In this risky new race, eight groups of eight players will take part in a tournament where losing will see you eliminated. Set across four rounds, the top four players of each race will advance to the next, until we are left with the almighty winner, who will ascend to the top of Mount Olympos and become the new god. I am guessing anyway, maybe you just get a hearty pat on the back.

To celebrate the arrival of Season 28 there is a host of events available to take part in. Until October 2nd you can have up to five chances to open K-Coin Envelopes for a currency boost, or you can complete a list of missions. Do this to earn the No.1 Balloon, K-Coins, and Olympos Driftmoji (Perm), amongst others. Finally, from October 1st to 9th, Rush+ will feature 300% EXP and Lucci benefits, as well as additional Ranked Mode points and penalty-free Ranked races.

KartRider Rush+ is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
