Pre-registrations open for Akatsuki Games futuristic JRPG Tribe Nine

Akatsuki Games Inc has announced the pre-registration for its single-player cyberpunk JRPG Tribe Nine. With input from the creators of the acclaimed Danhanropa series, Tribe Nine takes place in a futuristic city where you either thrive in the brutal Death Game, or you perish.

Set in the year 20XX, Neo Tokyo is run by a mysterious masked man named Zero with a rather unique vision. He announces a desire to turn it into a country where everything is decided by gamers and invents to Extreme Games, or XG. This almost immediately leads to chaos, with people treated like playthings.

Realising this is not a sustainable model, a group of teenagers formed a resistance against Zero. Because it is always a group of teenagers in JRPGs, armed with gear from their Extreme Baseball hobby, they will strike back against the tyranny and try to restore some order to the city.

Tribe Nine places you in HD-2D cities that are modelled after real places in Tokyo. Battles will take part in groups of three, each acting simultaneously and independently. You can level up your squad, assign stat boosts, and customise your equipment and Tension Card to create your own builds.

You can explore Neo Tokyo, solve puzzles, find treasure, and lend a helping hand to folk when needed. After getting a bit of practice you can then graduate to the gruelling XB content. This is a special nine-man battle mode that will test the limit of your power, so be ready

Happily, pre-registration will net you a lot of nice starter rewards. Even better, there are no milestones, you will get them flat out. There is a limited character skin for Koishi Kohinata, 600 Enigma Entity, 3 Accurate Codes, 150 Enigmatic Remnants, and more to give you a head-start.
