It’s time for kick-off as Konami launches eFootball 2024

It might be hard to remember but there was a time when FIFA, or EA Sports FC as it is now called, wasn’t the undisputed king of football games, with PES giving the series a run for its money back in the PS2 era. Now, Konami has released the latest free instalment of the series with eFootball 2024.

Players will be able to take control of big officially licenced clubs such as Manchester United FC, FC Bayern Munchen, Internazionale Milano, AC Milan, Arsenal FC, and FC Barcelona. These teams and more will be fully recreated from kits to stadiums to squads, with eFootball being the only place you can play in famous venues like Spotify Camp Nou and Stadio Olimpico.

Following feedback from existing users on the older versions of the app, Konami has focused on two main points to improve gameplay; dribbling and defending. 2024 brings improved control responses for those split-second decisions to get around opponents and through on goal.

For newly new features, eFootball is introducing Boosters. These will allow players to perform beyond their usual limits, so you can put together a truly broken team, for giggles. There are a variety of boosters to choose from, with player-specific and team-wide versions being available, for just how easy you want to make everything.

To celebrate the launch, players both old and new can take advantage of the new Startup Campaign. Just by logging in, you can get your hands on four Chance Deals, 360,000 GP, 60,000 EXP and 120 eFootball Coins. If you are willing to put in a bit more work, and if you downloaded the game of course you are, then you can get an additional 100 coins, 120,000 EXP, 40,000 GBP, and 4 Skill Training Programs by completing some early campaign achievements.
