Go penguin-wild as Play Together releases its latest seasonal update
If the freezing temperature, frozen cars, and permanent shivering haven’t tipped you off; we are suffering through winter, and the last place any of us want to be is the beach. If you think you do, you are wrong. That is exactly where Play Together is sending you, though, in its latest seasonal update.
Suddenly one day on Kai Island, an iceberg drifted up to the beach, complete with a few stowaways. Fiona and her friends unwittingly arrived from Antarctica, and would very much like your help to get back. Do so by taking on a host of missions and you will earn items including the amazing-sounding Waddling Penguin Suit.
You can complete your set-up of one of the world's most adorable outfits by heading to the Kaia Workshop and crafting the Emperor Penguin pet. Not only will the little fella waddle alongside you, but it also features distinctive infant and adult states. What’s even better, the adult version can be ridden like a vehicle.
With your new best friend by your side, you can brave the chilly weather once more, head back to the brisk sea air, and try your hand at catching the Icy Fish. Alongside the returning 30 from previous updates come 16 brand-new variants. These include the Snowflake Cherry Salmon, Snow Dugong, and a whacking-great Icy Orca.
By catching these new fish and completing the Ice Fishing Journal you can acquire items such as the Multipurpose Camping Grill. Because that's what you do in freezing weather; go camping. You can also pick up the Icy Ecosystem Fish Tank to show off your prized catches. Finally, November 30th and December 7th will play host to the Icy Fish Fishing Derby.
From December 1st you can head to the Camping Ground for the start of the Snow Duck Gift Calendar. A Snow Duck sounds cute as hell FYI. Every day until Christmas you can pop up a present and collect the likes of the Christmas Pajamas and a Snow Duck Boat with a Santa Hat.
Play Together is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
