Genshin Impact 5.1 launches October 9th with still no official word on Pyro Traveller
If you played version 5.0 of Genshin Impact, you would probably be a bit bummed by the lack of a Pyro version of the Traveller. Well, annoyingly HoYo has stopped short of officially announcing them in 5.1 outside a possible sighting in livestream art, we have received a host of other reveals.
Continuing from the latest Archon Quest, Natlan is perched precariously on the literal Abyss, and in need of urgent help. The Traveller will team up with Xiolnen to forge an Ancient Name for our beloved MC, whilst Citali, part of the Masters of the Night-Wind, will finally offer assistance.
Whilst Citali shows their support, fellow tribe member Oroeon is hard at work devising a secret plan. Lend your support to Natlan and you can earn 500 Primogems by completing 5.1s’ Archon quests, and a further 400 if you complete World Quests and gain NAtlan Exploration Progress.
This is good news, as five-star Geo sword wielder Xilonen is dropping in 5.1. She is a versatile support character, able to heal teammates or reduce enemies’ Elemental RES with her special equipment, the Samplers. With the three starting as Geo Source Samples, Xilonen can reduce Geo Elemental RES, however by teaming up with Hydro, Pyro, Xryo, or Electro character, you can alter the samples and cause her to heal your team instead.
Xilonen will feature in the first half of 5.1s’ event Wishes alongside the rerun of Chiori, whilst the second will bring back Nahida and Hu Tao. Speaking of Nahida, the Sabzeruz Festival is kicking off in Sumeru to honour the Lesser Lord Kusanalis’ birthday. Team up with Dehya, Tighnari, and Collei to prepare a special birthday surprise for the lucky lady.
There will also be a plethora of mini-games to take part in, such as Rocking Carriage which charges you with collecting flowers and dodging obstacles as you pilot a carriage. You can also don the visage of Knight of Flowers and enter into a combat-oriented challenge. However you play you will rack up Festive Fervor which will result in a variety of rewards, including a shot at recruiting Candace for free.
Further updates see Zhongi’s and Kequing’s Echoes can be completed thanks to the new Envisaged Echoes challenges. Spiral Abyss has received a bit of a rework, with players who master Floor 11 able to bypass Floor 9. Similarly, those who best Floor 12 can skip both 9 and 10. Finally, Character ascension and Artifacts interfaces have had a boost to make them more intuitive with filters and showing quantities of craftable materials.
Genshin Impact is available to download from the App Store and Google Play, with 5.1 landing on October 9th.
