Full Moon Over the Abyssal Sea lands on Aether Gazer in all its elegant glory

Aether Gazer has announced its latest major update, and it is one of the loveliest event names I have ever heard. Full Moon Over the Abyssal Sea is an amazing name, and it comes loaded with two side stories, a new S-grade Modifier, and some fancy threads for some of your favourite characters.

You can undertake two side stories in the form of Sword Song Part 1, and Summertime Spree Part 2, in addition to a few sundry events. Completing these will net you some valuable rewards, including shifted stars. You can then turn around and immediately spend them on this new Modifier. Serene Moon - Selene is the holder of the fifth seat of the Astral Council of Omorflies and President of the Choir Association and doesn’t reading something that fancy make you feel like a pauper? She sounds incredibly high society thanks to her cold and aloof personality, but she can still light it up on the battlefield.

As you might expect from someone this fancy, she does battle by elegantly backhanding people square in the face. Yes, she is a melee Modifier who accumulates points by pulling off basic attacks and skills. Gather enough, and you can enter the Full Moon state, eating the points to deal enhanced damage.

In keeping with Aether Gazer tradition, a new Modifier means new support. You can augment Selene with the 5-Star Functor Herald - Endymion, and the Mooncrown sigil that increases Shadow DMG and Non-DoT Skill DMG from Shadow skill attacks. Pair Selene with Pupper Master - Hades to execute the Grand Finale Ultimate Skillchain, or couple Flower of Yomi - Izanami and Somezakura - Buzenbo Tengu to unleash the Thunder Ice Slam.

Finally, some fineries for our friends. The Store has introduced two outfits, starting with Seaside Stroll for Selene. I am loving all the names in this update. They sound delightful. Our second suit is Ocean’s Love Song for Izanmi, so you can hit either of those Skillchains in style.
