It's Thursday. The fourth day of the week. And more than that, it's the day that most of the new releases hit the App Store. So every Thursday we take a long hard look at the best new games that have landed, so that you can make sure that any money you're spending isn't going to be wasted. After all, that'd be terrible.

Of course, you might have your own ideas about what the best games that came out this week are, so feel free to add your own suggestions in the comments at the bottom of the article. And make sure you come back next week to make sure you're never missing out on a single brilliant iOS game.

Zero/Sum - download for iOS

A game that's all about making equations add up to zero. And on top of that, half of the profits for this one are going to be heading straight to charities fighting cancer. It's a great game on top of that too, with loads of interesting ideas that keep things fresh. It's a brain trainer with a B-movie swagger and you should give it a go.

Run or Die - download for iOS

It's been a while coming, but this excellent auto-runner is now out for iOS. You're sprinting through a post-apocalyptic city, leaping around and using ever-changing special moves in order to smash through floating bombs and avoid drops. It's slick, it's fun, and it does the auto-running thing pretty damn well.

Homo Machina - download for iOS

A slightly weird game about the things that are going on inside your body. You're pulling levers, pushing buttons, and getting to know the cast of characters that represent the different facets of your physicality and personality. There are a few niggles here and there, but this is a game that's unlike anything you've ever played before.

Node Along - download for iOS

A high-score chaser with a pace that's all of its own. You're drawing a line between nodes, but there are walls and evil colored blobs trying to stop you. It's not as challenging as some other games in the genre, but there's a sedate beat to the game that makes it pretty difficult to dislike

Super Hydorah - download for iOS

You've probably heard a lot about this one, but it's fair to say that if you haven't, it's definitely worth checking out. It's a shooter in the style of R-Type that sees you blasting your way through a series of tough levels. It looks great, and luckily it plays just as well. If you're a fan of the arcade, then you should definitely grab this one.

Animal Super Squad - download for iOS

All animals are super, but the ones here are like doubly super. It's a game that utilizes physics to let you guide your favorite critters through interesting and tough levels. There's a focus on community-driven content here as well, so if you fancy yourself as a budding designer, you should get this one picked up as soon as possible.
