Team 17 USA and Topia Studios have announced the impending release of their isometric magical adventure game Summon Quest. Arriving on April 21st for Apple Arcade, iOS gamers will be able to embark on this magical adventure on iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple TV if you're an odd one who doesn’t watch TV whilst gaming.

Summon Quest is an action RPG that harkens back to the days were the story was an afterthought and it's all focused on the action. The plot may be thin, but the gameplay looks like it will be keeping players on their toes, with both the standard levels and boss fights needing a lot of movement to keep yourself alive, and to keep your combo counter ticking to rack up the damage bonus. Each region that you encounter will put you through 60 levels of enemies, culminating in a final boss of epic proportions. There is a myriad of spells and summons to experiment with, but you will need to learn them all, as you gain new skills at the end of each level with a random selection being presented to choose from.

As you adventure through these dangerous lands you will find yourself levelling up, and collecting all sorts of powerful equipment to help you on your way. As with all good RPGs, you will need to ensure your pants are always sufficiently levelled to provide you with the stat bonuses needed to conquer each region. You can take on multiple levels for each location, ranging from easy to extreme, with the top level giving you the most powerful of rewards.

As stated at the top of this article, you will need to subscribe to the Apple Arcade to play Summon Quest. A subscription will run you $5.00 a month, but for that, you will also have access to over 200 other fun games, so if you can spare it, it is worth checking out.
