Monster Hunter: Outlanders invites a select few to its second beta test
Outlanders takes another step toward bringing the iconic Monster Hunter experience to phones
Back in the days of the good old PSP, I was in love with a series of games known as Monster Hunter Freedom. Particularly the second one, when they released the bow. I hunted those monsters good and proper. If you told me one day we could have that exact experience on a phone, I would have scoffed. And yet, Monster Hunter: Outlanders is shaping up to be perfect.
Just how perfect is yet to be seen, but I imagine a second beta test might help put any fears to rest. And wouldn’t you know it, Timi and Capcom have only gone and announced one for later this month. April 28th, to be precise. Or the 29th, to be more precise, depending on your timezone. April 28th at 19:00 PDT, work it out from there.

Or don’t, depending on where you live, for this test is only for a select few countries. The list is Mainland China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom. If you are in one of these, and more importantly, if you signed up for the test, then you should be very excited.
For those lucky enough to attend, prepare yourself to hunt down much more powerful Radiant Species than before. Happily, you can recruit a few new hunters to help you out, packed with unique skills to pull you out of a jam.
Despite the name of the game, however, there's more to the series than just the hunting.
The environments are often beautiful, and Aesoland has followed suit. You can trapse across maps stuffed full of secrets to find and nooks to explore, all the whilst kicking back with the game's by-now iconic BBQ system. Mostly because of the catchy tune. Whatever you plan, you don’t want to miss out, so make sure to pre-register now.
