If you missed the first Closed Beta test for Monster Hunter Outlanders, or have never heard of it before, then you are in luck! Registrations are now open for the 2nd Closed Beta test, with a huge window of opportunity. The majority of April, in fact, so there is no excuse not to stick your name down.

While we do already have Monster Hunter Now on mobile, it is admittedly a very slimmed-down version of the series. However, Monster Hunter Outlanders looks like it is giving us the full experience, given the Weapon Overviews. We are circling back to Monster Hunter Freedom on the PSP, and I, for one, am very excited.

Take on a brand new species of enemy

The main thing to be excited about is the Dual Blade weapons, which are enough to get started with. You can also get to grips with the host of Adventures that you take into the wilds, and tackle fierce new Radiant enemies.

There is, of course, the comfort of the BBQ and fishing that you can unwind with after a day of slaying huge monstrosities.

Now for the technical part: the restrictions. You can sign up until the 21st, or early 22nd in some time zones. It will be available in English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, German, and Spanish (LATAM). Finally, you need either an iPhone XR or later with iOS 17 or above, or an Android with at least a Snapdragon 835 chipset, running Android 12.0 or more.

You can sign up for the Monster Hunter Outlanders beta test now on the official website. Pre-registration for the game can also be done here, with milestone rewards up for grabs.  There are a lot of Standard Contracts at version points, which makes me sad and weary about Gacha.

There is also a special Adventurer, Raya, available for 10 million, so everyone needs to put their name down.
