Honkai: Star Rail announces the Path of Elation with a new drip marketing

A new Path has been announced in Honkai: Star Rail. After the release of the Path of Remembrance, the next one on the line-up is the Path of Elation. The first limited 5-star character that will bear this Path is Yao Guang, a Seer Strategist from the Xianzhou Yuque, also known as Madam Yao.

Yao Guang will be a Physical character, and since little is known about the mechanics of the Path of Elation, it's currently unclear whether she will be a support or a DPS.

Xianzhou Yuque is one of the ships of the Xianzhou alliance. As you may know, the Xianzhou Luofu is not a planet, but rather a gigantic ship that sails through the galaxy.

While Luofu is known for its medical and trade expertise, Yuque is better known for its divination. In fact, Yuque was the birthplace of the Divination Commission.

Yao Guang's drip marketing likely hints at the next version's story, where Trailblazers might return to Xianzhou Luofu to experience content that aligns with the 2026 Chinese New Year.

This may be disappointing for players who expected version 4.0, but a little break is not so bad, as it will give everyone some time to save up more Primogems for future Elation characters.

The story behind Path of Elation unfolds

The Path of Elation corresponds with the Aeon Aha. This Path is no stranger to most, since the Elation buff has always been available in the Simulated Universe gameplay mode. Aha strives for chaos and joy, which is why the Elation blessings in the Simulated Universe always have a degree of chaos and unpredictability.

In the story, notable characters who follow the Path of Elation have similarities that point towards their chaotic nature, such as Sampo, Sparkle, and Cipher.

However, don't expect this to be directly reflected towards the Path of Elation characters. Remembrance was once a freeze-related blessing, but ends up having a summon-centric mechanics for the characters.

Sadly, you'll have to stand by until the next version comes out to start enjoying the Path of Elation. Since version 3.8 will run for eight weeks, you must wait until 13th February 2026, at 03:00 AM GMT (UTC+0) for the next update to begin.
