Honkai: Star Rail unleashes the true power of Himeko in Version 4.4

HoYoverse has announced the July plans for Honkai: Star Rail, and it sounds like we are in for a doozy of a month. To start us off, Version 4.4, In Ravages does the Whistle Sound, will launch July 15th and is bringing us an epic battle and a powerful new ally. 

Peace has been shattered in Planarcadia as the Lord Ravager Asat Pramad revealed his true self, and Himeko vanished. The Trailblazer and co will set out to trace her steps, as Asat’s obsession with Himeko's true identity deepens. The two parties will converge, with Himeko showing off her ultimate power.

In this version, Himeko Nova takes centre stage as both a stronger version of Himeko and the banner character. She is a Fire-type on the Path of Erudition who summons the Starblazer mech at the beginning of battle. So, great character already. All characters gain one Assist Skill to have Starblazer attack all enemies, and Express Crew characters gain additional special effects. Outside battle, Himeko Nova can also pilot Starblazer and attack enemies from afar.

Enough of the main story, time for the better side content

This is all very exciting, hurrah and so on. Having said that, I am more excited that the Fate/stay night collaboration is entering its second phase. It will kick off on July 24th and will see Rin Tohsaka entering the fray as a 5-star Quantum character.

She accumulates Gem Energy during combat and can use it to deal multiple instances of additional DMG to random targets. When your team uses or recovers Skill Points, Crit DMG will increase, and Rin will also gain more energy. If you prefer more raw power, however, then let’s look at Gilgamesh.

He is a 5-star Lightning character on the Path of Destruction. When an ally takes an action, Gilgamesh will earn Interest, recovering Energy and increasing his Ultimate DMG. When he gets enough Interest, he will devastate foes with the Gates of Babylon, dealing multiple instances of DMG to all foes. He sounds tremendously powerful, and even better, can be recruited for free. Simply log in before Version 4.6 ends, and you can claim either him or Archer. Which is a tough choice. Archer is the best Fate character.
