Foundation: Galactic Frontier gives your the opportunity to work with friends and take control of star systems

Whilst there is no doubt the likes of Destiny and Warframe are fantastic space-based sci-fi shooters, sadly, you don’t get to engage in too much spaceship fun. And I really like spaceship sim stuff. Happily, after a few months of exclusivity to Android, Foundation: Galactic Frontier is kicking off its iOS pre-registration. 

The game is based on Isaac Asimov’s award-winning Foundation series. You might know him best as the guy who invented those Laws of Robotics that our Roombas will one day break as they overthrow us. Galactic Frontier is developed by FunPlus in collaboration with Skydance, owners of the Foundation IP.

You will slip into the shoes of a trader at the helm of your very own ship, the Wanderer. As the story unfolds, you can take your journey in whatever direction you like. Those who wish to uphold peace can work with the various factions to repel space threats. Should you desire wealth, nothing is stopping you from becoming that very threat yourself.

To do either of these, you will need to build up your fleet. During your travels, all manner of people will be available for you to recruit into your crew, and you will have ample opportunity to upgrade your floating home. However, don’t forget that whatever cabins you build will need to be managed and maintained to keep generating what you need to succeed. 

No matter how much you try, no one person can control all of space by themselves. That is why it is vital that you form or join a good alliance. With the power of an armada at your back, you will engage other alliances to do battle for control of planets and even whole star systems. 

Foundation: Galactic Frontier is available to pre-register on iOS now. Do so, and you will be in with a shout of launching with a host of milestone rewards, such as 40,000 Galactic Coins and a Solar Flare T32 (Combat Craft).
