How to get the Disney Dreamlight Valley new year event reward

After the free The Winter Ball update back on 10th December 2025, Disney Dreamlight Valley is back again with another freebie, this time celebrating the 2026 new year.

The new DDV code, HAPPYNEWYEAR2026, is available for redemption, and you will get New Year Community Lanterns for claiming it.

How to redeem Disney Dreamlight Valley code

To redeem the Disney Dreamlight Valley code, the process differs based on which platform you're playing on. If you're using Apple Arcade, there's no place to directly redeem the code, but thankfully, Gameloft ensures the reward is available for everyone, as iOS and Mac users can still claim the reward by contacting the Customer Care team.

Message the customer service with the code you want to redeem, and if eligible, they will send the gift to your mailbox directly. This means that Apple Arcade will remain free from microtransactions and redeem code boxes, but you can still enjoy the free goodies.

Meanwhile, players from other platforms can simply redeem the codes in-game. To do so, follow these steps:

• Open the Settings menu
• Choose the Help tab
• Select the redemption code option and press claim
• Collect the reward from the in-game mailbox

Keep in mind that you need to copy it exactly as it is, since the DDV redemption code is case-sensitive.

The Winter Ball update introduces the ever-classic Cinderella as a companion

The Fairy Godmother was introduced far back in version 1.5, but Cinderella certainly takes her time, having players wait up until update 1.20.

Just like the fairy tale, the clue to finding Cinderella begins with the famous glass slipper, but of course, before you even attempt to unlock Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother must first be present in the valley.

With a little bibbidi-bobbidi-boo, the Fairy Godmother will break the enchantment that holds Cinderella captive, finally bringing her to the valley.

As usual, Cinderelly's companionship will come with three friendship quests, which you can unlock as you level up your friendship with the princess.
