Blue Protocol: Star Resonance kicks off the Shangri-La Frontier crossover and slips in a new map

It has finally begun. The marathon of anime crossovers in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance has kicked off, starting with Shangri-La Frontier. There will be a myriad of cosmetics to collect, and, as an added treat, A-Plus has tucked away a brand new, unrelated, fun-filled map.

As something that will come as a shock to absolutely no one, the trailer for this collaboration features Sunraku running around front and centre. You can, of course, equip that iconic bird head as we all knew would occur. There is also the option to sport the Sunraku skin, complete with Lycagon's Marking.

There appears to be a chance to run around with two swords strapped to your back as well, because the developers are evil and wish to taunt me. Where is my dual-wielding class, A-Plus?! What you can wield is Psyger-0's Antinomy Great Sword, so that's something. 

Fans of fluffy animals will be both pleased and displeased by this next part. Whilst you won't be able to adventure with the adorable Emul, you do have the option to dress like them, hat and all. You can also enjoy some special collaboration menu items and grab a few furniture pieces for your home. 

Starland sounds like an incredibly fun map

Now, for that extra goody. Blue Protocol genuinely does a great job making sure there is always an event to take part in, be it combat or not. However, you can now visit the Starland map, a place of just pure joy. It is a non-stop festival, and it looks very pretty to boot. 

If you pop over, you will be able to revel in rhythm minigames, have a spot of Mahjong, or jump on the carnival rides. Or, take part in the very exciting-sounding activities. These include Laser Cyclone, Fish Frenzy, or my favourite, Wave Dodgeball. Remember, if you can dodge a wave, you can dodge a ball.

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is available to download from the App Store and Google Play. The Shangri-La Frontier collaboration will last until April 22nd.
