I really enjoyed this game so I am glad it is finally making some big moves

Back in October 2025, I was lucky enough to preview a pre-release build of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, and I loved it. Then it was released with a much worse controller configuration, which was annoying. Anyway, it's been relatively quiet since launch, but now, A Plus is making a lot of noise with the confirmation of three anime collaborations.

It has yet to be revealed exactly what these collaborations will include; however, given that the main character is customisable, it's probably outfits. Maybe the odd weapon, although the class pool is a bit shallow, so that might be hard. My biggest desire for this game, besides fixing the controller issue, is more classes.

Two high-profile titles and one tantalizing mystery

Let’s kick it off with the soonest upcoming collaboration. On March 19th, the wilds of Shangri-La Frontier shall be let loose. The most obvious candidate here would be the bird head; it is an iconic part of the anime. Although if they wanted to use this to debut a dual-wielding class, I would totally be on board with this. Sunraku could be a teacher.

After this, we will be saying hello to the eponymous guild of Fairy Tail. A key part of combat in Blue Protocol is Battle Imagines. Basically summons. Now, I do not just want anime characters to become these; summoning Nastu would be wildly immersion-breaking.

However, summoning Happy, on the other hand, I can see that working, flying in and headbutting someone. Or Happy could carry you and be a mount.

Finally, there will be another collaboration in May. Unfortunately, we have no idea what it is. My Hero Academia recently crossed into Puzzle & Dragon and is nearing its last anime season, so that might be possible. The hero outfits would make cool, if universe-breaking, skins perhaps. Or Solo Levelling, to add Shadows as Battle Imagines. That would be incredibly cool.

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
