Blue Protocol: Star Resonance launches Fairy Tail collaboration and Season 3 with a perfect new class

Back in March, Blue Protocol: Star Resonance threatened us with an onslaught of Anime crossovers. Three, to be precise, starting with Shangri-La Frontier. Unfortunately, the dual-wielding class did not materialise as I wanted. But that's ok! Because now we are welcoming the magic of Fairy Tail to the land of Regnus.

If you don’t know of Fairy Tail, then you are clearly lying because everyone does. It is one of the biggest manga series to have ever existed. It is set in a land overflowing with magic, and follows wizards Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia, along with the adorable Happy, as they battle evil wizards and demons. The usual manga plotline, but they do it incredibly well.

You will be able to experience this magical power for yourself, as Natsu and Lucy will be available as Battle Imagines for a limited time. At least until June 30th, when the collaboration ends, I imagine. There are also themed outfits and housing collectables to find, and if none of it is Happy, I will be furious. Furious enough to smash through these event bosses and dungeons, single-handedly, I would say!

If you will excuse me, there are axes to be swung

Now, as stated above, I expected a dual-wield class to materialise during the Shangri-La Frontier collaboration. It did not. But that is because the developers were holding it back until Season 3, because it is here now! The Twin Striker puts an axe in both hands and sends you off to chop through enemies in combo-heavy combat. Odin is calling me to berserker combat.

If you don’t want to rampage through the new map and six new dungeons as a fantasy Viking, then we are not friends. Instead, you can spend your time in the new Musician System. You can pick from a Guitar, bass, keyboard, or drums, and play rhythm challenges, or even form a band with friends. My instrument will be the Axe.

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
