I demand Uryū Ishida as the main protagonist, or at the very least, one of the starter characters

One of the first anime I properly got into as a teenager with Bleach. In particular, Ishida. It is the whole reason I brought a PS3, for Soul Resurreccion, a fantastic game. I was delighted when Thousand-Year Blood War got released recently, and I am perhaps even more excited to year we are getting Bleach Mirrors High, a new mobile game.

We don’t know much about this title right now, besides that Bandai Namco announced it is coming in Summer 2026. Oh, and we also know that the man himself, Tite Kubo, has had quite a large presence during development. In case you don’t know, Kubo is the creator of the whole franchise, so this is incredibly exciting.

You can check out the special video message he created to see just how ingrained he is. From creating the title, being part of the scenario meetings, and even the logo, it is going to be one of the most authentic Bleach games of all time, let alone on mobile. No shade on Soul Resonance, of course, that is an excellent experience.

It seems that the story is going to be lost based on the main scenario of the comics, but I expect we won’t be getting a shot-for-shot retelling. He does mention voice acting during his message, which will be pretty cool. I am hoping it is not just battle effects, but a properly voiced story.

Unfortunately, when sharing the news, the TwiX account for Bleach Soul Resonance refers to it as a “gacha game," so we are going to have to put up with that, sadly. Beyond that, who knows?

My theory is perhaps we won’t be going to Soul Society or Hueco Mundo, but perhaps sticking to the school setting. I base that solely on the title Mirrors High, as in school, and perhaps my desire for more turn-based Persona-style games. I really didn't like Persona 5, so Phantom X is out.
