Ball x Pit launches on mobile and lets you rebuild Ballbylon on the move

Back in January, we covered the speculation that Ball x Pit was coming to mobile, fueled by Devolve Digital's not-so-subtle TwiX post. Well, surprisingly to no one, the prophecy has come true, and you can now play Kenny Sun and Friends hit ball-et hell on the go. The Switch doesn't exist in our world.

If you don’t know Ball x Pit, it is a block breaker-style game set in the ruins of Ballbylon. The rest of the story doesn’t matter; that pun is all we need. The action side of things will see you firing off a long variety of balls at your advancing foes, backed up by a hero that confers additional bonuses to your style.

Even better, your character is not stuck to the X-axis; you can roam free. 

You can create over 60 types of balls to launch at your unsuspecting foes

During each run, you can collect different types of balls that you can combine to create incredibly effective ammo. For example, Burn and Iron will create Bombs for explosions. And we all love explosions. Or you can go incredibly gross and fuse Cell and Brood Mother to create Maggot. This causes enemies to fire out one or two extra balls when they die, so that’s fun, in a horrible way.

After your run, win or lose, you will return to the excellently named Ballbylon. By using resources that you collect during battle, you can expand your settlement with new buildings and create a thriving community. This is also the main way that you will recruit new characters to play as or increase their stats.

It is the type of game that is perfect to pick up for a run or two, making it a fantastic addition to your mobile library. Not to mention the fact that it is already a smash hit, so you can’t go wrong. Ball x Pit is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
