Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space welcomes the cast of Final Fantasy 9 to its shores in blockbuster collaboration

I am not the biggest fan of collaborations in video games; they feel a bit lazy. However, when that collaboration is with one of the greatest franchises in the world, we will allow it. Such is the case with Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space, and its team-up with the iconic Final Fantasy 9.

Titled Memories of Another Sky, this crossover will bring four of Final Fantasy 9’s iconic protagonists over to Another Eden. Zidane, Vivi, Garnet, and Steiner will join the battle, a nostalgic callback to the first permanent party of 9. And it is not just the characters coming over.

Amazingly, you can play the Chocobo Hot and Cold minigame to find Magic Stones, which you then equip to Zidane and co to unlock their Support Abilities. It is one of the most fun Final Fantasy minigames after Blitzball and Triple Triad. You can also head to the Synthesis Shops to create powerful equipment.

To help you pull all the characters, you can earn up to 2,000 Chronos Stones through story completion bonuses and login campaigns. If you are new, you can also pick up an additional 1,000. Don’t fret if your pockets feel empty, though, as Memories of Another Sky is available until July 6th, which is incredible.

If you check out the crossovers' dedicated webpage, you can see the love that went into this. Chocobo Hot and Cold is one thing, but you can also enjoy Active Time Events, the Mognet, and the characters can enter Final Fantasy 9's signature Trance state. I am impressed with how in-depth it looks.

Now, did I pick this topic so I could gush about Final Fantasy 9? Of course not. The fact that it has beautiful graphics, an amazing story, and a truly fantastic ability system will have no bearing on Another Eden. That’s probably as much as I can get away with.
