Aria's team in Zenless Zone Zero has one major issue
I didn't even get Sunna on her banner.
Anomaly has its ups and downs throughout the Zenless Zone Zero history. When the game was first released, the strange mechanic was overshadowed by the pure DPS of Ellen and Zhu Yuan. It wasn't until Jane Doe that Anomaly got some spotlight.
In version 2.0, Rupture specialty became a thing, and Anomaly once again declined to the A-tier on the tier list.
Now that version 2.x is almost over, Anomaly is making a small comeback with the release of Aria and a rerun of Yuzuha.
Aria's best team in Zenless Zone Zero is basically the Angels of Delusion
Faction has always been an important aspect in Zenless Zone Zero, but usually, characters who are associated with different groups can still work with each other. This doesn't seem to be the case with Aria, where her best-in-slot teammates are Sunna and Nangong Yu, both S-Rank Agents from the Angels of Delusion.Aria's playstyle is a little too similar to Vivian's, where both are Anomaly-Ether Agents who play around the Abloom effect. But, unlike Vivian who fits well in practically any Anomaly team, Aria requires specific teammates.
Aria needs an Ether Veil enabler, which Sunna can provide, and she needs a Stunner, which is where Nangong Yu comes in.
Due to the lack of synergy between Stun characters and Aria, she basically has to settle with a random Stunner without their Additional Ability, or wait until Nangong Yu enters the party.
All in all, while Aria + Sunna + Nangong Yu is a lore-accurate combination, it's hard for F2P players to get three S-Rank characters back to back just to make one team, so it's understandable if players feel like she's made for spenders.
Thankfully, Sunna is a great support who works in other teams. If Nangong Yu follows Sunna's universality, collecting the entire members of the Angels of Delusion may prove to be worth it. But for now, feel free to whine about how P2W Aria is.
